Katy is a distinguished florist with over 20 years of experience, having launched her career in 2003 after graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Greenhouse Management. It was during her time at university, through electives in her major, that she discovered her profound passion for floral design. This discovery led her to pursue and realize her dream of establishing her own venture within the storied Selmi family tradition.

Over the decades, Katy has meticulously honed her craft, specializing in wedding floral arrangements that uniquely capture the essence of each bride's vision. Her dedication to her art has propelled her to the forefront of the industry in the Sauk Valley area, earning her a reputation for innovation and excellence. Katy's commitment to creating bespoke floral designs is unmatched, and she prides herself on her ability to bring her clients' dreams to life with precision and creativity.

Her accolades include a Certification as an Illinois Professional Florist and the successful completion of the Design for Excellence Course at the Phil Rulloda School of Floral Design. Most recently, Katy was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), an honor that is considered the floral industry's equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Floral Design.
